Dawg whipped up the mob!

I'd love to help out people who are inclined to learn the English language with information about Slang, Ethonolect, Idioms, Grammatical Features, and so on. I am an English language teacher who love teaching foreigners, mainly Brazilians. I am mainly interested in making new friends and sharing knowledge. I speak English, Spanish, and Portuguese. My next goal into languages is Mandarim (Standard Chinese).

It be sorta hard talkin' 'bout mahself. I'ma let'cha kno' anythang y'all wanna kno'. Juz aks me when y'all feel like!
I been talkin' to lotta deep n' dat been makin' me turn into a strong homie! I ain't no thug! Ain't no gangsta! I be only an African-Brazilian-American dawg who fo sho' luv livin'. Momma keep tellin' me I should be less tougher...I ain't no vexin' wit' peepz, but I must protect my homies. I juz let'em be when the ain't in trouble.

I hope y'all like my style, I ain't trippin'. I'm just tryinna see thru tha facts!

I am a authentic black Brazilian-American dawg who really enjoy hanging out, camping, eating out, getting together with my friends and girlfriend, playing soccer, surfing the net, praising the Lord, going to YMCA, training people who aspire to succeed, teaching the English language, chatting with my homies and mainly having spare time.
I have best friends who are my mother, my sister, Vitim, A-Rabbit, Psymatrix, Gugu Yeah Yeaaaah.

I am an actual happy person. I do not have anything to complain about.

To whom it may concern...if you are not willing to bring something good to my life, step away from me, ya dig?

African American Vernacular English - AAVE
The Black English Vernacular is colloquially known as Ebonics. This term is not usually used by linguists (professionals who work on Languages Arts and its roots, including lexicon, philology, grammatical features, and so forth). Ebonics is a portmanteau / combination of “Ebony” and “Phonics”.
When the Africans were brought to the United States, some of them spoke English, while others spoke French or other ethnolects and dialects from their own tribes. The Africans were obligated by slaveholders to speak the language the whites did so as to maintain communication amongst them all. Hence, it did not exactly happen the way the oppressors craved for.
The slaves had been making up their own sociolect that along years was named Black English, and it was recently renamed. It is called African American Vernacular English (AAVE). This ethnolect is used by black people in America. With pronunciation that in some respects is common to that of Southern American English, spoken in down south of the US where the high majority of African descendents still reside, the variety is spoken by many African-Americans in the United States of America. AAVE also has pronunciation characteristics in common with various West African languages and Creole English dialects spoken by blacks in much of the world.
Rappers and hip-hoppers when they "spit a flow" they speak with a strong accent and have a different lexicon peppered with slang. This dialect follows rules that differ to Standard's, which sometimes even Americans do not understand the actual meaning. Rappers such as Snoop Dogg, Dr Dre, and others have been using Ebonics on their songs. That's what makes people who are only versed in Standard English feel confused due to the fact that the speech these rappers have is based on rules of African American Vernacular English.

"Language is not only what you speak, listen to, write, or read. Language is the culture of a people. That is, each people has its own language."

African American Vernacular English (Ebonics)

It is my pleasure to be able to post something here. My name is Rodrigo, I am from Brazil - Belo Horizonte. I live in the USA, though. It has been 10 years since I got the Yankee's land. I major in Languages and Fine Arts at the UH (University of Houston). My passion is AAVE. It stands for African American Vernacular English a.k.a Ebonics. Most of the times it is hard for Brazilians "to feel" (to understand) what rappers and hip-hoppers state in their lyrics due to the fact that the hig
