Never é facil. Never = nunca
Ever tem vários significados:

Ever = às vezes (no sentido de freqüência)

Do you ever go to the beach? Você vai à praia às vezes?
1. Yes. Always. (sempre)
2. Yes. Sometimes. (às vezes)
3. Yes, but seldom. (raramente)
4. No. Never. (nunca)

Ever para ênfase

Don't say that again
= Don't you ever say that again.
= Never say that again. (Nunca mais diga isso)
= Never ever say that again. (Nunca com ênfase)
= Never ever ever say that again (mais ênfase)

Forever and ever = para sempre (ênfase literária)

Ever = finalmente

Will you ever go to Australia?
The journey was so long that I wondered if we would ever arrive.
If you ever got a lot of money, what would you do with it?

Ever = já, na qualquer ocasião

It was the largest fish that I ever saw.

I have never seen that movie even though I could get a DVD. (a possibilidade ainda existe)

Very helpful!! Students really make a lot of confusion with never/ever.
Just to confirm, to me "even though" and "although" seem to be the same thing, am I right?
